Victory! Art Show Won’t Bring Performing Capuchin Back This Year

After learning from PETA that monkeys are intelligent, curious, and highly social animals whose needs can’t be met when they’re kept as performers, the Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show in Pennsylvania has decided not to bring back an act featuring Django the capuchin monkey this year. This is yet another victory for Django, who’s carted around to different events and subjected to a constant barrage of strange noises and busy activity and forced to endure grabbing hands. In just the last few months, a senior-living company canceled her scheduled Valentine’s Day performance and a Christmas event opted to celebrate the holiday with kindness by nixing her appearance.
