Diane von Furstenberg Drops Angora, Fur, and Exotic-Animal Skins

After a years-long push by PETA for it to go fur-free, luxury clothing brand Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) confirmed that it will no longer be using fur or angora in its designs, and it has also committed to no longer producing goods using exotic-animal skins. The brand joins hundreds of other fur-free retailers—including Burberry, Versace, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, and Gucci—in turning its back on an industry that forces terrified animals to spend their entire lives inside filthy, cramped wire cages before being gassed, electrocuted, or even skinned alive. DVF’s decision also helps rabbits on angora farms, who scream as workers yank fistfuls of hair out every few months, as well as snakes and other reptiles who are slit open and skinned while they’re still alive. Please urge Canada Goose to follow DVF’s lead and ban all fur sales immediately.
