More Brands Join Chorus of Those Opposed to Killing Badgers for Brushes

After PETA shared with companies a horrifying video exposé of China’s badger-brush industry, retailers Caswell-Massey, The Vermont Country Store, and Floris London all made the compassionate decision to ban badger hair! PETA Asia’s eyewitness investigation revealed that badgers whose hair is used for shaving, makeup, and paint brushes are often captured using snares and other cruel methods. Others are forced to spend their lives inside tiny wire cages on farms before workers bash in their skulls, slit their throats, and leave them writhing in agony to bleed out slowly. Despite knowing this, some companies still refuse to stop selling badger hair. Please urge Baxter of California and Dick Blick Art Materials to stop supporting animal abuse by selling soft and superior synthetic brushes instead of ones made from badger hair.
