Bella Thorne Says What We’ve All Been Thinking: ‘F— SeaWorld’

“F— SeaWorld!” Hey, someone had to say it, and who better than Bella Thorne?

Recently, the lively actor, singer, and model sat down with PETA to throw some heavy shade at the company.

“I hope SeaWorld is ready—for a lot of s— talking,” Bella told us.

While showing us around her home and introducing us to the animals who live with her (both the real and the fake ones), she spoke about SeaWorld with uncensored candor.

“When I was a little girl, I did a commercial for SeaWorld, and even then, I knew there wasn’t something right,” she said. “F— the people that are always abusing animals!”

Bella reminded viewers that the animals imprisoned at SeaWorld are taken away from their community, their homes, and their families. For instance, in the wild, orcas live in pods, which are bonded groups of up to 30 animals who travel together for their entire lives.

In their ocean homes, orcas swim up to 140 miles a day, dive to great depths, cooperate with their pods to find food, communicate in their own dialects, and pass their own culture down from generation to generation. At SeaWorld, these animals are only able to swim in endless circles. Some are so frustrated that they break their teeth by gnawing on the concrete corners and metal bars of their tiny tanks. Orca or human, no one deserves to be imprisoned for life, separated from family and friends.

Calling for people to boycott and protest SeaWorld, Bella urged viewers to take action and use their voice for suffering animals in need. “Don’t be afraid to show up with your signs and make your point,” she said.

Cheers, Bella! And maybe one day, your sister will share her vegan lasagna recipe with us.
