Esprit and Dozens of Other Retailers Ban Mohair

Esprit and dozens of other major retailers banned mohair after learning from PETA that angora goats endure a violent and bloody shearing process, in which workers cut off large swaths of skin and crudely stitch gaping wounds back together with no pain relief. Joining Esprit are Ann Taylor, BESTSELLER, Catherines, Chico’s, Colovos, Daniel Cremieux, Destination Maternity, dressbarn, Fat Face, Justice, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Lou & Grey, MANGO, Marks & Spencer, maurices, Monsoon Accessorize, New Era Cap Co., Next, Overstock.com, Primark, Reformation, rue21, Soma, VENUS, The White Company, White House Black Market, and others. Please ask Forever 21 to follow their example and drop mohair.
