Victory! Door to Door Organics Removes Misleading Meat Marketing

Following letters from PETA, food delivery service Door To Door Organics agreed to remove all references to “humanely raised meat” from its website and marketing materials. The move comes after PETA informed the company that meat marked as “humanely raised” can—and likely does—still come from animals who were mutilated without painkillers, kept in crowded conditions without sunlight or fresh air, and forced to endure long and terrifying trips to the slaughterhouse in all weather extremes.
