Jones Lang LaSalle Bans Circuses and Other Uses of Animals in Wide-Reaching Policy

Following talks with PETA about the various ways in which animals are exploited for entertainment, Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL)—which manages 3.5 billion square feet of property worldwide and has annual revenues of $6 billion—set a broad, new policy prohibiting circuses as well as limiting other activities that involve animals. The policy says, “JLL will not engage in temporary leasing or promotional activities that involve animals. This includes events such as circuses and carnivals involving animal acts, petting zoos, and other wild or exotic animal exhibitions, as well as the sale of animals by temporary vendors.”
