PETA Scientists Expose the True Meaning of ‘Gold Standard’ for Animal Laboratories

January 30, 2015

Accreditation by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) International has long been trumpeted as being the “gold standard” of animal welfare in laboratories—even though investigations by PETA have documented miserable conditions and abysmal treatment of animals in AAALAC-accredited laboratories. The high-profile study was published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science.
