Nine Countries End Inhumane Animal Labs After PETA Donation

January 2014

Following PETA’s landmark donation of 64 state-of-the-art TraumaMan surgical simulators, Advanced Trauma Life Support training programs throughout Bolivia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Mexico, Mongolia, Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago formally agreed to stop cutting apart and killing animals in surgery courses. The long-term international agreement means that thousands of doctors each year will be trained with superior simulation tools instead of cutting holes into the chests, throats, abdomens, and limbs of thousands of live dogs, goats, pigs, and sheep.
