We received a tip that birds were dying in agony after reportedly eating poisoned bait at a refinery in California. We e-mailed company execs and called the refinery repeatedly but received no response to our concerns. We posted an action alert and received a response shortly after. The company got its pest-control contractor to stop using the poison and investigate PETA’s humane deterrent solutions instead.
