Virginia Woman Convicted After PETA Finds Malnourished Puppy with Severe Mange

After PETA fieldworkers found a young pit bull mix named Cameron tethered outside in Emporia, Virginia, malnourished and dehydrated with severe demodectic mange causing inflammation, secondary infection, and significant pain all over his body, they worked diligently to obtain custody from his apparently neglectful owner. Local law enforcement became involved and charged Cameron’s former owner, who was later found guilty of cruelty to animals.
