SeaQuest’s Roseville, Minnesota location closed came after the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources announced its investigation into the beleaguered operation following a PETA complaint alleging violations of state captive wildlife regulations. PETA funded the transport of hundreds of koi fish to a reputable facility in Illinois and three African spurred tortoises to the Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation, a GFAS-accredited sanctuary in Texas.
