Colorado Venue Skips Live Reindeer at Holiday Event!

A Colorado venue host quickly decided against using live reindeer in a holiday event this year after PETA explained that the scheduled supplier, Colorado Reindeer Ranch, was cited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for allowing young reindeer to suffer and die because they kept incompatible animals together. A one-year-old reindeer named Zero was rammed so violently that she died from internal bleeding from her injuries, and a three-year-old named Yukon died one day after another bull gored him. Their tragedies are the latest examples of why holiday events should have nothing to do with live reindeer, and why PETA is tipping our hat to venues that choose to spread holiday joy without exploiting reindeer for sad spectacles! Help speak up for other reindeer now.
