Clark County Unanimously Passes New Animal Protection Law

Commissioners in Clark County, Nevada, voted unanimously (7-0) to prohibit pet stores from selling dogs, cats, rabbits, and pot-bellied pigs. The law does allow shops to provide space for adoptions from animal shelters and nonprofit adoption groups. Retailers will have one year to phase out sales completely. This decision is a huge win for animals, because it will stop the sale of those who have been cruelly bred in mills and will help reduce the number of homeless animals.
