Following a vigorous campaign led by PETA and local activists, illusionist Jay Owenhouse withdrew an application for permission to cage tigers off the Las Vegas Strip in order to use them in a yearlong magic show. The application faced a groundswell of opposition from Clark County residents, and the Winchester Town Advisory Board and Clark County planning staff both recommended denial of the project.
