Vegan Sloppy Joes 2

2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 large onion, diced
2 medium green peppers, seeded and diced
1 1/2 cups boiling water
2 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. chili powder
Pinch of pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. mustard
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 cups dry TVP (textured vegetable protein)

• Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté the onion and the green peppers until the onions are translucent.
• Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve on buns.

Makes 4 to 6 servings
