Mushrooms With Barbecue Sauce

1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup water
1 12-oz. pkg. button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup barbecue sauce

• Braise the onions in the water for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the mushrooms and continue cooking for 4 to 5 more minutes. Add the barbecue sauce and cook until the desired thickness is reached.
• Serve over veggie burgers, potatoes, or rice.
