Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way.

PETA Marches On, Rain or Shine

Written by PETA | May 1, 2009

Sometimes, Mother Nature isn’t entirely on our side when it comes to outdoor demonstrations. Luckily for us, caring citizens don’t let a little rain stop them from getting the word out about animal abuse. Just check out all these pictures that were sent to us this week:

Rain check? Not for these seal lovers!
Seal demo
We’ll come in out of the rain when the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of baby seals stops.
Seal demo
Is that a banana, or are you just happy to see me?
Get a Rise
I’m thinking the rain only made this demo sexier.
Get a Rise
Not to rain on your parade, but … Oh, sorry, it’s too cheesy, even for me. Just boycott McDonalds, OK?

Thinking about getting active for animals? Well, don’t let a gray day stop you! Check out PETA’s Action Center and then hit the streets.

I agree wtih you Melissa. I have said numerous times on here that if they’re going to promote their campaigns using hot women they should also be promoting it using hot men. Why should only one gender be objectified if they’re going to do this at least provide eye candy for everyone.

  • Melissa N. says:

While I do support animal rights I’m a vegan I absolutely do not condone these demonstrations that objectify women. Yes we get it sex sells but I and many other women I’m sure are sick of feeling like supporting PETA is contradictory to my feminist beliefs.

I understand the seal thing but what do the women in thongs represent? If I saw this downtown I would have to laugh!!! I mean who can take that seriously. I can’t stand some of the pictures on here affecting animals but the ones incorporating people dancing around in the nude all day to protest McDonald’s are quite humorous. I just don’t get itseems like something out of Woodstock when they were on a lot of drugs IMO.
