Written by PETA | September 10, 2011

PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk appears on CNN to discuss the U.S. Army’s upcoming plans to conduct tests on monkeys. You can help stop the U.S. Army from poisoning monkeys by calling Maj. Gen. Nick Justice, commanding general of Aberdeen Proving Ground, at 410-278-0833 and urging his facility to switch to non-animal training methods.

OMG I am sitting here at work with tears in my eyes as I watched those sweet creatures faces beam with excitement. And when those 2 chimps hugged, it just broke my heart. How can anyone justify animal testing for any reason???

To Jane Velez-Mitchell and of course our one and only Ingrid E. Newkirk, We love here in Canada!! If it wasn’t for you both most of these animal rights messages/news wouldn’t get out there!! Please keep fighting the good fight!!

  • Anna says:

I love you Ingrid! I’m looking for updates all the time saying that they’ve decided to halt the experiments. I’m so angry that the Army is completely ignoring everyones letters, emails, and phone calls!!!

How could anyone watch that video of the monkeys seeing sunshine for the first time and NOT be moved? How can anyone think of them being subjected to such unimaginable horrors for THIRTY YEARS without feeling sick to the very heart and soul? How much more disgusting can humanity become before we receive our ‘come-upance’?

  • Tracy says:

    No. Please. Just NO.
