Every once in a while, a film comes along that has the power to change the world. This is one of those films.

The Ghosts in Our Machine is a poignant look at how most of us experience animals: primarily as foodclothing, and entertainment. It is this safe, comfortable distance that allows us to separate the choices we make from supporting cruelty to animals. Told through the touching stories of individual animals who were living in and rescued from our profit-driven “machine,” Ghosts turns that disconnect on its head.

The Ghosts in Our Machine will premiere in New York at Village East Cinema on November 8 and will run through November 14. The film’s West Coast premiere is scheduled for November 15 at Los Angeles’ Laemmle Music Hall, where it will be showing through November 21. It will soon be expanding into other cities as well. This film has the power to inspire people to give up the ghosts.
