This ‘Cow’ Will Show You How to ‘Decalf’ Your Starbucks

Some of us firmly believe that decaf coffee is an abomination. But decalf coffee? Well, what could be better? Drinking breast milk meant for calves is just plain weird.

A friendly PETA “cow” was outside a Minneapolis Starbucks today to help caffeine enthusiasts make their morning routine animal-friendly. She and a group of PETA members handed out free reusable coffee sleeves reading, “Decalf Your Coffee: Choose Soy, Almond, or Coconut Milk.”

Like all other mammals, cows only lactate when they’re pregnant or nursing. Dairy farms repeatedly impregnate them and then take their babies away so their milk can be sold. By swapping out cow’s milk for coconut, almond, or soy, you’ll help cows and calves and maybe even save calories.
