PETA’s New Beauty Without Bunnies Logo Is Coming to Products Near You

Published February 11, 2015 by PETA Staff. Last Updated August 27, 2024.

For years, shoppers have trusted PETA’s bunny logo to lead them to products that were made without harming animals and companies have relied on it to share their animal-friendly values with consumers. Now we’re giving everyone a new way to show bunnies some love. Introducing PETA’s sleek new “Cruelty-Free” and “Cruelty-Free and Vegan” logos:

New BWB Logos

This updated Beauty Without Bunnies logo still serves the same purpose—companies can assure shoppers that they have met the requirements to be PETA-certified as cruelty-free. Companies that manufacture kind cosmetics, personal-care products, and household cleaners must answer our questions and sign a statement of assurance verifying that they do not conduct, commission, or pay for any tests on animals for ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world. They also pledge not to do so in the future. Once they are certified, companies can use our logos on their products, packaging, website, and materials to promote their animal-friendly values. And to give them more design options, if companies choose, they can still use our original cruelty-free logos, too:

Beauty Without Bunnies

Keep an eye out for the new Beauty Without Bunnies logo, coming to kind products near you. And as always, check out PETA’s online searchable database of more than 1,500 companies that refuse to test on animals.

“Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights?”

— Ingrid Newkirk, PETA Founder and co-author of Animalkind
