Cool, Caffeinated, and Compassionate: A Vegan Guide to Starbucks’ Summer 2026 Drink Lineup
Starbucks’ summer menu 2026 is officially here, and it’s basically engineered for hot days and group chats: tropical flavors, popping pearls, and horchata-inspired coffee drinks that scream “take a sip and post it.”

The best news? You can order any of these drinks vegan in seconds—especially now that Starbucks no longer charges extra for dairy-free milk!
What’s new on the Starbucks summer menu 2026?
Here’s the Starbucks drink lineup you’ll see this summer:
Tropical Butterfly Lemonade Refresher
The new Tropical Butterfly Lemonade Refresher is summer in a cup. It mixes juicy guava and passionfruit flavors with tart lemonade over ice, then tops it off with bursting mango-pineapple pearls and a vivid splash of color for an extra tropical vibe. (And yes, the pearls are vegan!)
Butterfly Drink
Vacation mode: activated. The new Butterfly Drink combines sweet, tangy pineapple and passionfruit flavors with creamy coconut milk over ice, then finishes with colorful infusion and vegan mango-pineapple pearls that burst with tropical flavor.
Energy Refreshers
The Mango Dragonfruit Energy Refresher and Strawberry Açaí Energy Refresher bring a bright, fruit-forward boost to your summer lineup. The Mango Dragonfruit Energy Refresher blends mango and dragonfruit flavors with real dragonfruit pieces for a juicy, colorful sip. The Strawberry Açaí Energy Refresher highlights bold berry açaí notes paired with sweet strawberry and real strawberry pieces for a crisp taste.
Both drinks are shaken with ice and finished with added caffeine and B vitamins for an energizing lift that’s perfect for warm, on-the-go days.
Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew
Smooth, bold cold brew meets a nutty twist in this chill coffee drink, layered with toasted coconut cream cold foam and finished with a sprinkle of coconut flakes for added texture. To make it vegan, simply customize it with the dairy-free coconut cream cold foam.
Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso
This energizing iced espresso blends Starbucks’ Blonde Espresso with brown sugar and cinnamon for a warm-spiced sweetness, then gets shaken with ice for a chilled, balanced sip. Finished with oatmilk, it’s smooth, creamy, and seriously satisfying.
Horchata Frappuccino Blended Beverage
Who says horchata can’t be enjoyed in the heat? The Horchata Frappuccino Blended Beverage proves this cozy flavor works just as well in summer, blending cinnamon, vanilla, and toasted rice notes with coffee and ice for a cool, creamy treat. To make it vegan, simply choose almond, oat, soy, or coconut milk and skip the whipped cream—both the horchata and vanilla syrups are already vegan-friendly!
Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso
Keeping the horchata theme going, the Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso offers all those cozy cinnamon and vanilla notes with a more energizing twist. Blonde Espresso is shaken with ice and finished with oatmilk for a nice pick-me-up.
Strawberry Crème Frappuccino Blended Beverage
Centered around sweet strawberry puree, this longtime Starbucks favorite can now be made vegan, as it no longer contains carmine—a red coloring made from crushed cochineal insects. Simply customize with your preferred vegan milk and order it without whipped cream. Blended with ice and layered with extra strawberry puree, it’s a wonderful treat for the heat!

This Summer, Make the Kind Swap (And Don’t Pay Extra)
Do you know you can get complimentary dairy-free milk with your holiday Starbucks drink? It’s true—following persistent pleas from PETA, Starbucks stopped charging extra for drinks made with soy, oat, almond, or coconut milk. That means that you can make your favorite Starbucks drink animal-friendly, with no extra charge!
Ditching dairy is better for animals, the planet, and your own health. Mother cows want to raise their babies—not suffer on dairy farms that exploit them like milking machines. YOU can help them and other animals who suffer on farms by telling everyone you know to go vegan. Order PETA’s free vegan starter kit for a friend or family member today.
