Sec. 205.330. – Registration/vaccination.

(a) Every person who is responsible for any puppy, kitten, dog or cat shall have such puppy, kitten, dog or cat vaccinated by a veterinarian against rabies and registered as provided in this article when or before the puppy or kitten reaches four months of age, but not before it reaches three months of age.

Sec. 205.440. – Information on dogs and cats for sale or adoption by an animal control facility or animal shelter.

Every animal control facility or animal shelter operating within the city offering to sell or offering for adoption dogs and cats, including sales or adoptions consummated via the Internet, telephone or other electronic means, shall use its best efforts to obtain and provide to any person purchasing or adopting a dog or cat the following information, if known:

(2) A record of vaccinations and veterinary care and medical treatment, including a record of surgical sterilization or, if no surgical sterilization, the written agreement with the adopter or purchaser guaranteeing that sterilization will be performed by a licensed veterinarian in compliance with RSMo 273.403 .
