5-6-6: IMPOUNDMENT PROCEDURES; FEES:

The People for Pets Humane Society, or Twin Falls County Sheriff’s office, shall capture and impound any dog running at large or found to be a nuisance pursuant to this Chapter. Notice and terms of the impoundment, redemption and disposal of such dogs shall be as follows:

C.   Reclaiming Dog; Fees: Any licensed or unlicensed dog may be reclaimed by the owner thereof within forty eight (48) hours of impoundment by first presenting a current dog license if the dog is unlicensed, and by paying the People for Pets Humane Society ten dollars ($10.00) if spayed or fifteen dollars ($15.00) if not spayed for the impoundment of the dog, and three dollars ($3.00) per day for boarding for first time offender dogs and twenty dollars ($20.00) for each a second offense and thirty dollars ($30.00) if spayed or forty five dollars ($45.00) if not spayed for third offense by the same thereafter. Said fee shall be maintained in a trust account to be administered by the People for Pets Humane Society and used for the care and control of county dogs.
