Section 205.020 Licensing of Dogs and Cats Regulated — Tags.

A. License Required. No dog or cat owner shall keep any dog or cat over three (3) months of age within the Village of Theodosia after the first (1st) day of January, 1997, unless a license therefor has first been secured. Licenses shall be issued by the Village Clerk for a fee of two dollars ($2.00) for each male or spayed female dog or cat and five dollars ($5.00) for each unspayed dog or cat. An applicant for a license for a spayed female dog or cat shall present a statement from a qualified veterinarian indicating that the dog or cat has been spayed and giving the date of the operation. Every application for a license shall be accompanied by a certificate from a qualified veterinarian showing that the dog or cat to be licensed has been given a vaccination against rabies in compliance with Subsection (M). Licenses shall expire on the thirty-first (31st) day of December next following their issuance.
