Sec 2.02.003 Restraint Of A Dog Or Cat
- No person shall leave a dog or cat outside and unattended, tied, restrained, tethered, or cabled for a period longer than is necessary for the owner to complete a temporary task that requires the dog or cat to be restrained.
- A dog or cat shall never be restrained using a pinch-type, prong type, or choke type collar or a collar that is not properly fitted to the dog or cat.
- A dog or a cat shall not be restrained outside between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- A dog or a cat restrained outside must be restrained in a safe and humane manner that does not restrict the dog or cat from food, water, or shelter.
- A dog or a cat may not be restrained outside in a manner that will interfere with city or governmental services.
