Tethering/Chaining

4-317: TETHERING OF DOGS:

A.   No dog owner shall permit more than one dog to be tethered in their yard at any given time.

B.   No dog shall be tethered in a yard on a twenty four (24) hour per day basis.

C.   Tethers shall be no shorter than ten feet (10′) in length.

D.   All tethers shall be so installed so that the dog shall have the freedom to walk around   without the chance of getting tangled up or choking itself.

E.   All dogs tethered outside shall have plenty of water and shade available.

F.   All dogs tethered outside shall have plenty of water and shelter during cold weather.
