Section 205.050 Licensing Requirements.

A. All Dogs To Have License. It shall be the duty of every person keeping a dog over the age of six (6) months within the City limits to secure and display on a collar worn on the dog’s neck an annual license issued by the City of Strafford, Missouri. Application for same must be made within fourteen (14) days of kenneling the dog within the City limits.

B. Procedure For Issuance.

1. The Clerk shall issue a license upon satisfactory application by any person provided that the applicant satisfies the following requirements:

a. Pays to the Clerk the sum of ten dollars ($10.00) per license for each dog to be licensed; provided however, an applicant, who submits a certification from a licensed veterinarian that the dog sought to be licensed has been spayed or neutered, shall only be required to pay the sum of five dollars ($5.00) per license for each such dog;
