§ 91.04 LICENSING REGULATIONS.

(A) No person shall own, keep, or harbor any dog within the city limits unless such dog is licensed as herein provided. Written application for a license shall be made to the City Clerk and shall state the name, address, and telephone number (if any) of the owner and the name, breed, color, sex, and distinguishing marks of the dog. The license fee shall be paid to the City Clerk at the time and making the application. The City Clerk shall issue a receipt and a numbered metallic or plastic tag for each dog licensed and shall maintain for three years one record of such receipts and tags, arranged numerically by tag numbers. Such records shall be open to public inspection at all business hours.

(B) The yearly license fee for dogs shall be as follows: $3 for a neutered male dog or spayed female dog and $10 for unspayed female dogs and non-neutered male dogs.

§ 91.05 DOG KENNELS.

(A) DOG KENNELS are hereby defined as being an area where dogs and bitches are confined for breeding purposes and for sale.

(B) All persons operating a dog kennel shall be required to purchase a merchant’s license for the sum of $16 per year.

(C) All dogs and bitches kept in a dog kennel shall be vaccinated against rabies and shall meet the same animal health standards as now or hereinafter may be required of dogs to be licensed.

(D) All dogs and bitches kept confined in a dog kennel shall not be required to have individual dog licenses.
