§ 5-1.2 Dogs for Which Licenses Are Required.
Licenses shall be required for the following dogs of licensing age:
a. Any dog owned or kept within the Borough by a resident of the Borough on the first day of January of any calendar year.
b. Any dog acquired by any person during the course of any calendar year and kept within the Borough for more than 10 days after acquisition.
c. Any dog attaining licensing age during the course of the calendar year.
d. Any licensed dog brought into the Borough by any person and kept within the Borough for more than 10 days.
e. Any dog licensed by another State, brought into the Borough by any person and kept within the Borough for more than 90 days.
§ 5-1.7 Dog License Fees.
a. The annual fee for a dog license and registration tag shall be $10 for each spayed or neutered dog and $15 for each unspayed or unneutered dog. These fees shall include the requirement imposed by state law or $1.20 per dog registered, for a registration tag and for the pilot clinic fund. The same fees shall be charged to the annual renewal of each license and registration tag.
b. Any person applying for a license shall pay an additional fee of $3 for any dog of reproductive age which has not had its reproductive capacity permanently altered through sterilization, pursuant to Assembly Bill 1917, adopted as Chapter 172 of the Laws of 1983.
§ 5-2.3 Licensing.
a. Cats To Have License Number Displayed. Any person who shall own, keep, or harbor a cat of licensing age shall annually apply for and procure from the Municipal Clerk or other official designated by the Governing Body to license cats in the municipality in which he/she resides, a license and official registration tag with license number, or a registration sleeve for each cat so owned, kept, or harbored, and shall place upon such cat a collar or other device with the license number securely fastened or displayed thereto. Acceptable methods of displaying license number shall include, but are not limited to, break-away or elastic collars. License tags or sleeves are not transferable.

g. License Fee Schedule. A license shall be issued after payment of a fee of $15 for each unspayed or unneutered cat, and $10 dollars for each spayed or neutered cat. For each renewal, the fee for the license and registration tag shall be the same as the original license and tag, and such license/registration tags and renewals thereof shall expire on January 31 of the year following the year the license/registration was issued consistent with the term of the license. In the event that said license and registration is applied for after February 1 of each year, an additional late fee of $5 per month will be charged.
