6.95-14. – Licensing and vaccination of dogs.
Any person who shall own, keep or harbor a dog which has attained the age of six months and/or a permanent set of teeth shall apply for and procure from the dog registrar of the borough a license and official metal registration tag for each such dog so owned, kept or harbored and shall place upon each such dog a collar or harness with the registration tag securely fastened thereto. Such license and registration shall be renewable during the month of January of each succeeding year and shall be valid through December 31 of the year issued. Any such renewal shall be completed by the last day of January in each year.
A. The fee for such license and registration for each dog, provided that said animal has been spayed or neutered, shall be $15.00 annually for each dog so licensed.
B. The fee for such license and registration for each dog which has not been spayed or neutered shall be $20.00 annually for each dog so licensed.
6.95-14.a. – Licensing and vaccination of cats.
Every person who shall own, keep or harbor a cat or cats, male or female, within the limits of the Borough of Magnolia shall report to the clerk or designee annually, by January 31 of each year, his or her name and address and shall give the name, breed, color, sex and markings of the cat for which license and registration are sought and whether it is of a long-haired or short-haired variety; also the name, street and post office address of the owner and the person who shall keep or harbor such cat.
A. Cats must have license number displayed. A license and official registration tag with license number or a registration sleeve for each cat so owned, kept or harbored and shall place upon such cat a collar or other device with the license number securely fastened or displayed thereto. Acceptable methods of displaying license number shall include, but are not limited to, breakaway or elastic collars. License tags or sleeves are not transferable.
