§ 19-1 Definitions.
Definitions in N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.1 and 4:19-18 shall apply to terms used in this article. Otherwise the following shall apply:

KENNEL
Any establishment wherein or whereon the business of boarding or selling dogs or breeding dogs for sale is carried on, except a pet shop.
§ 19-3 License required.
Licenses shall be required for the following dogs of licensing age:
A. Any dog owned or kept within the Township by a resident of the Township on January 1 of any calendar year.
B. Certificate of vaccination required. The Township Clerk shall not issue any dog license or registration tag unless the owner has provided evidence that the dog has received a rabies inoculation of the required type that is valid for the full license year and proof that the inoculation expires after the end of the license year. This evidence shall include but is not limited to a certificate of rabies vaccination for the dog to be licensed on a form recommended by the state and endorsed by the inoculating veterinarian indicating the expiration of the inoculation after the end of the license year.
C. Any dog acquired by any person during the course of any calendar year and kept within the Township for more than 10 days after acquisition.
D. Any dog attaining licensing age during the course of the calendar year.
E. Any unlicensed dog brought into the Township by any person and kept within the Township for more than 10 days.
F. Any dog licensed by another state brought into the Township by any person and kept within the Township for more than 90 days.
§ 19-26 Vaccination and license required.
Except as provided in § 19-32, no cat owner shall keep, harbor or maintain any cat over seven months of age within the Township or knowingly permit a cat to remain on or about his/her premises, unless the cat is vaccinated and licensed. Vaccination and licensing shall be required for the following cats of licensing age:
A. Any cat owned, kept, maintained, or harbored within the Township, or knowingly permitted to remain on or about any premises occupied by a resident of the Township.
B. Any cat acquired by any person during the course of any license year and kept within the Township for more than 10 days after acquisition.
C. Any cat attaining licensing age during the course of the license year.
D. Any unlicensed cat brought into the Township by any person and kept within the Township for more than 10 days.
E. Any cat licensed by another state, brought into the Township by any person and kept within the Township for more than 90 days.
Article V Kennels, Pet Shops, Shelters and Pounds
§ 19-47 Licensing; fees.
Any person who keeps or operates or proposes to establish a kennel, a pet shop, a shelter or a pound shall apply to the Health Department for a license entitling him to keep or operate such establishment and shall pay an annual fee as required by the Board of Health. The application shall describe the premises where the establishment is located or is proposed to be located and the purpose for which it is to be maintained.
§ 19-48 License expiration, revocation and transferability.
All licenses issued for a kennel, pet shop, shelter, or pound shall expire on the last day of June of each year, and be subject to revocation by the Township for failure to comply with rules and regulations governing kennels, pet shops, shelters and pounds pursuant to the New Jersey Administrative Code, Title 8, Chapter 23, Subchapter 3 and this article. Any person holding such license shall not be required to secure individual licenses for animals owned by such licensee and kept at such establishment; such licenses shall not be transferable to another owner or different premises.
§ 19-49 Control of animals.
No animal kept in kennel, pet shop, shelter or pound shall be permitted off the premises, except on leash or in a crate or other method of safe control.
§ 71-2 Fee Schedule.
The following fees, escrow deposits, and guarantees shall be required in the Township of Little Falls:
