§ 117-12 License and registration tag fees.

A. A person who shall own, keep or harbor a dog in the Township of Hillsborough shall license such dog pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.1 et seq., and make application to the Finance Officer for a license and registration tag for such dog within the time limit set by said statute and pay an annual license fee of $19.80 and $1 for each registration tag and renewal thereof.

B. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.1 et seq., the Finance Officer shall collect and remit to the State of New Jersey, together with the dog registration tag fee of $1, $0.20 for each dog licensed, to be designated for the State Pilot Clinic Fund.

C. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.1 et seq., the Finance Officer shall collect and remit to the New Jersey State Department of Health, together with the dog registration fee and the $0.20 cited above, an additional $3 for any dog of reproductive age which has not had its reproductive capacity permanently altered through sterilization. This fee is to be designated for the Animal Population Control Fund.
