§ 69-17 License required.

It shall be unlawful for any person or corporations to own, keep, harbor, or have the custody or possession of any dog over six months old within the Borough of Haddonfield without having such dog registered, numbered, and licensed in the manner herein provided.

§ 69-19 Licensing fees; late charges; exceptions.

Fees for dog licensing shall be as follows:

A. Annual license fee. An annual license fee of $21 consisting of the following:

(1) To be retained by the Borough: $19.80.

(2) To be sent to the State of New Jersey: $1.

(3) To be sent to the State of New Jersey for the Pilot Clinic Fund: $0.20.

(4) An additional fee of $3 will be charged for those dogs not spayed or neutered. This additional fee is to be sent to the State of New Jersey and designated for the Animal Population Control Fund. Owners presenting a statement signed by a veterinarian or a notarized statement signed personally certifying that their dog has been sterilized are exempt from this fee.

§ 69-24 Licensing requirements.

A. Display of license number: Any person who shall own, keep, or harbor a cat of licensing age shall annually apply for and procure from the Department of Licensing, Vital Statistics, and Animal Control, or other official designated by the governing body thereof to license cats in the municipality in which he/she resides, a license and official registration tag with license number, or a registration sleeve for each cat so owned, kept, or harbored, and shall place upon such cat a collar or other device with the license number securely fastened or displayed thereto. Acceptable methods of displaying license number shall include, but are not limited to, breakaway or elastic collars. License tags or sleeves are not transferable.

G. Fee schedule: Fees for cat licensing shall be as follows:

(1) An annual license fee to cover registration and issuance of a registration tag or sleeve:

(a) For each nonneutered cat: $24.

(b) For each neutered cat: $17.
