§ 5-1.1 License Required.

No person shall keep or harbor any dog within the Town without first applying for and obtaining a license for the dog from the Town. The licensing and registration of dogs shall be in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

§ 5-1.4 Fees.

The license fee for dogs shall be $15 for dogs spayed or neutered and $25 for dogs not spayed or neutered. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.3, dogs used as guides for blind persons and commonly known as “seeing eye dogs”, dogs used to assist handicapped persons and commonly known as “service dogs” and dogs used to assist deaf persons and commonly known as “hearing ear” dogs shall be licensed as in the same manner as other dogs but are exempt from the fees provided for in this section.
