§ 138-1 Definitions.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

KENNEL

Any establishment wherein or whereon the business of boarding or selling dogs or breeding dogs for sale is carried on, except a pet shop.

§ 138-3 Licenses for kennel, shelter, pet shop or pound; fees.

A. All licenses issued for a kennel, pet shop, shelter or a pound shall state the purpose for which the establishment is maintained and all such licenses shall expire on January 31 of each year and be subject to revocation on recommendations of the State Department of Health or the local Board of Health for failure to comply with the rules and regulations of the State Department of Health or the local Board of Health of the borough after the owner has been afforded a hearing by either the State Department or the local Board.

B. The annual license fee for a kennel providing accommodations for dogs shall be $20. The annual license fee for a pet shop shall be $20. No fee shall be charged for a shelter or pound.
