§ 198-3 License and tag; placement of tags on dogs.

Any person who shall own, keep or harbor a dog of licensing age in the Township shall, apply for and procure from the licensing authority a license and official metal registration tag for each such dog so owned, kept or harbored and shall place upon each such dog a collar or harness with the registration tag securely fastened thereto.

§ 198-6 Fees; exceptions; late charge.

A. Except as otherwise provided in Subsection B of this section, the person applying for the license and registration tag shall pay to the Township of Cranford a fee of $18 for one-year licenses for each spayed or neutered dog, $54 for three-year licenses for each spayed or neutered dog, $21 for one-year licenses for each non-spayed or non-neutered dog, and $63 for three-year licenses for each non-spayed or non-neutered dog, plus the additional sum fixed by state law for the registration of dog. Said licenses, registration tags and renewals thereof shall expire on the last day of January of the respective year of expiration. There shall be a late fee charge of $1 per calendar month for each dog license renewal issued after its expiration.

§ 198-20 Annual license and tag; display of license number.

Each cat must have its license number displayed. Any person who shall own, keep, harbor or maintain a cat of licensing age shall apply for and procure from the licensing authority a license and official metal registration tag with license number or a registration sleeve for each cat so owned, kept, harbored or maintained and shall place upon such cat a collar or other device with the license number securely fastened or displayed. Acceptable methods of displaying the license number shall include but are not limited to breakaway or elastic collars. License tags are not transferable.

§ 198-23 Application for license and tags; fees; interference with authority; disposition of collected fees.

D. The person applying for the license and registration tag shall pay to the Township of Cranford a fee of $18 for one-year licenses for each spayed or neutered cat, $54 for three-year licenses for each spayed or neutered cat, $21 for one-year licenses for each non-spayed or non-neutered cat, and $63 for three-year licenses for each non-spayed or non-neutered cat.
