§ 150-1 Definitions.
The following definitions apply with respect to this article:

CATTERY
Any room or group of rooms, cage or exhibition pen, not part of a kennel, wherein cats for sale are kept or displayed.

KENNEL
Any establishment wherein or whereon the business of boarding or selling dogs or breeding dogs for sale is carried on, except a pet shop.
§ 150-2 License required.
A. Any person who shall own, keep, or harbor a dog or cat of licensing age shall annually apply for and procure from the City Clerk a license and official metal registration tag for each dog or cat owned, kept, or harbored, and shall place upon each such dog or cat a collar or harness with the registration tag securely fastened thereto. A license will not be issued to an owner when there are already three dogs, cats, or combination thereof, at the residential premises at which the dog or cat shall reside.
§ 150-6 Kennels; catteries; pet shops; shelters; animal rescues; pounds.
A. Any person who keeps, operates, or proposes to establish a kennel, cattery, pet shop, shelter, animal rescue, or pound shall apply to the City Clerk for a license entitling him to keep or operate such establishment. All licenses shall be renewed annually each January.
B. All licenses shall be subject to revocation by the City on recommendation of the New Jersey Department of Health, the Burlington County Board of Health, or any other statutory authority with oversight as to the functioning of such licensed organizations.
§ 260-2 Municipal Clerk’s office.
A. Pet licensing [Chapter 150, Article I].
(1) License for spayed or neutered dog: $10.
(2) License for unspayed or nonneutered dog: $13.
(3) License for spayed or neutered cat: $10.
(4) License for unspayed or nonneutered cat: $13.
