§ 134-1License and registration tag required; fees; senior citizen rate; renewals; exemptions from fees.

Any person who shall own, keep or harbor a dog of licensing age shall pay a sum of $15 for neutered dogs and $20 for nonneutered dogs (inclusive of all state fees) for the license and registration tag, together with such sum as the State of New Jersey shall require to be paid to it, for each dog; and for each annual renewal the fee for the license and registration shall be the same as for the original license and tag. The Borough of Alpha senior citizen rate shall be $10 for neutered dogs and $15 for nonneutered dogs. Such owner must show proof of being age 65 before January 31 of that licensing year. Said licenses, registration tags and the renewals thereof shall expire on the last day of January in each year. The replacement cost for a lost registration tag shall be $3.
