Sec. 7-33. – Required.
It shall be the duty of every person owning, keeping or harboring a dog or a cat to obtain a license therefor annually.
Sec. 7-36. – Fees.
Before any license required by this division shall be issued, the applicant therefore shall pay the following appropriate fee to the city clerk for each dog or cat to be licensed:

Sec. 7-60. – Definition.
The term “kennel,” as used in this division is defined as (1) every person or entity engaged in the commercial business of buying, selling, breeding or boarding dogs, cats or other domesticated animals, or (2) every person or entity who owns, harbors or keeps four or more dogs, cats or other domesticated animals, shall be classified as a kennel.
Sec. 7-61. – License required.
No person or entity shall conduct or operate a kennel within the City unless such person or entity shall have first secured a license under the State Commercial Dog and Cat Operator Inspection Act, (NRS54-625 to 54-641) for such kennel, as well as a city License for such kennel. An occupation tax for such kennel license shall be assessed as provided in section 34-69 of this Code.
Sec. 7-62. – License contents.
Any license issued under the provisions of this division shall state the name of the person or entity licensed to operate a kennel, the kind or breed of animals to be kept in such kennels, the number of animals so to be kept and the location of such kennels.
Sec. 7-63. – Cleanliness of animals.
All animals kept within kennels within the city shall be kept clean and sanitary at all times.
Sec. 7-64. – Sanitation of premises.
All kennels within the city shall be subject to the USDA requirements and standards for operation and sanitation of such kennels.
Sec. 7-65. – Confinement of animals.
All animals kept in kennels within the city shall be securely penned up and confined at all times, except when in charge of the owner or some employee of such kennel.
Sec. 7-66. – Application of other laws.
No kennel shall be operated at any place within the city in violation of any other provisions of this Code, state law or city ordinance, rule or regulation.
