7.04.020– Definitions.
As used in this title, the following definitions apply:

“Kennel” means any household or establishment wherein or whereon five or more dogs are kept and said dogs are maintained exclusively in that kennel. Any household or establishment wherein or whereon two or more unaltered dogs are kept for the purpose of breeding or any household or establishment which offers dogs for sale, trade, profit or barter are also deemed to be kennels. Kennels will be inspected by the animal control officer for certification as a kennel. Veterinary hospitals, grooming parlors, and pet shops are to be excluded from this definition.
7.12.060– Kennels.
Are not allowed within the city limits. Households with more than four dogs at the time this title is adopted are subject to the following requirements:
A. Existing dogs must be licensed and registered with animal control.
B. The sale or transfer of ownership must be reported to animal control.
C. The death of a registered dog must be reported to animal control.
D. A dog permanently removed from the household may not be replaced in order to exceed the limit of four dogs per household.
E. Animals born to licensed dogs. All offspring born to a registered and licensed dog shall be removed from the city within twelve (12) weeks of birth.
