Sec. 4-22. – Mandatory neutering of cats and dogs.

All cats and dogs offered for adoption by the animal control shelter of the City of LaBelle must be neutered (spayed or castrated) prior to adoption unless certified by a veterinarian licensed in Florida that such procedures would be injurious to the animals’ health. It is a violation of this article to fail to comply with the provisions set above.

Mandatory implantation of an identichip for identification purposes shall also be required within thirty (30) days of adoption. It is a violation of this article to fail to comply with the provisions set above.
