7.06.060 – Disposition of impounded animals not redeemed.

No pound or animal control facility shall release dogs or cats when not redeemed by the owner unless the animal has been surgically rendered incapable of reproduction by spaying or neutering and microchipped, or the person wishing to adopt an animal prior to the surgical procedures having been performed, including microchipping, agrees to have the procedures performed within a specified period of time not to exceed thirty days.
