Sec. 14-45. – Dog and cat licenses.

(a) Every person who owns or keeps a dog or cat over the age of six months in the village, except vicious dogs, shall make application for an annual license within five days after the acquisition thereof and on or before January 1 of each succeeding year by submitting a current rabies certificate to the village clerk. No license shall be issued to vicious dogs pursuant to section 14-61(d) of this chapter prohibiting such animals from the village. The annual dog license fee shall be $5.00 for a spayed or neutered animal or $10.00 if not spayed or neutered.
