Sec. 6.16.030. – Reclamation.

B. For a second impoundment an animal must be sterilized within thirty (30) days after being reclaimed unless already sterilized; failure to comply shall result in impoundment. Any animal impounded for failure to sterilize shall be held until such time it is transferred to a vet within the City of Collinsville to be sterilized. Cost of the sterilization shall be the responsibility of the owner. Any animal required to be sterilized under the Animal Control Act for which arrangements have not been made within seven (7) calendar days shall be transported by Animal Control to a vet or clinic of their choosing to be sterilized with the cost to be paid by the owner. The cost of boarding an animal impounded for failure to sterilize will be charged to the owner.
