Sec. 10-19. – Accepting animals for adoption.
Any Calumet City resident may bring their dog or cat, with proof of ownership, to the animal control department. The entry fee, payable at City Hall, shall be set at twenty dollars ($20.00) per animal. The animal will then be sent to animal welfare where a licensed veterinarian will determine the adoptability, spay or neuter the animal, and administer rabies vaccinations as required by law.
