Sec. 7-70. – License, application, fee and vaccination.

(a) No person shall own, keep or harbor any dog which has attained the age of five (5) months, within the limits of the town without first having obtained a license. Application for the license shall be made to the town clerk.

(b) Each applicant for a license shall be required to pay a fee for each neutered or spayed dog and an annual fee for each unneutered or unspayed dog prior to the issuance of a license; such fees shall be as adopted by the town by resolution of the town council. Any person who wishes to use the reduced fee for neutered or spayed animals shall present to the town clerk a signed statement from a licensed doctor of veterinary medicine that such animal has been neutered or spayed. License fees may include a multiple-year license.
