Sec. 205.030. – Running at large prohibited; impoundment.
1. It shall be unlawful for the owner or keeper of any dog or cat to permit the same to run at large within the Town of Grantwood Village at any time.
2. Penalties.
(a) Any dog or cat found running at large in violation of Section 205.030.1 shall be impounded if practical or necessary.
(b) For the first offense of violating Section 205.030.1 within a twelve (12) month period, the fine imposed to the owner or keeper (if it can be shown that the dog or cat has been sexually neutered) shall be fifty dollars ($50.00);
(c) For the second offense of violating Section 205.030.1 within a twelve (12) month period, the fine imposed to the owner or keeper (if it can be shown that the dog or cat has been sexually neutered) shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00);
(d) For the third offense of violating Section 205.030.1 within a twelve (12) month period, the fine imposed to the owner or keeper (if it can be shown that the dog or cat has been sexually neutered) shall be two hundred dollars ($200.00);
(e) For the fourth or any subsequent offense of violating Section 205.030.1 within a twelve (12) month period, the fine imposed to the owner or keeper (if it can be shown that the dog or cat has been sexually neutered) shall be two hundred-fifty dollars ($250.00);
(f) For any offense of violating Section 205.030.1, the fine imposed to the owner or keeper of the dog or cat has not been sexually neutered) shall be two hundred-fifty dollars ($250.00).
Sec. 205.200. – Animal breeding; boarding prohibited.
No person shall, for the purpose of conducting a business enterprise, maintain upon his/her premises, any animals as defined in Black’s Law Dictionary.
