7.08.030 LICENSE FEE AND TAG.

A.    Fees Set By Resolution:

1.    Spayed Female Or Neutered Male: Every person owning or having charge, care or control over a spayed female or neutered male dog of the age of four (4) months or over shall pay an annual license fee in an amount to be determined from time to time by resolution of the city council, to be paid between May 1 and May 31, inclusive, of each year, or within thirty (30) days after the owner of the dog establishes residence in the city, or within thirty (30) days after the dog reaches the age of four (4) months.

2.    Unspayed Female Or Unneutered Male: Every person owning or having charge, care or control over an unspayed female or unneutered male dog of the age of four (4) months or over shall pay an annual license fee in an amount to be determined from time to time by resolution of the city council, to be paid between May 1 and May 31, inclusive, of each year, or within thirty (30) days after the owner of the dog established residence in the city, or within thirty (30) days after the dog reaches the age of four (4) months.

7.20.070 SPAYING OR NEUTERING OF ADOPTED ANIMALS:

A.    Agreement In Writing: Every person who seeks to acquire an animal by adoption from the animal shelter shall first agree in writing to have said animal spayed or neutered on or before a date to be specified in said agreement by the keeper of the animal shelter.

B.    Time Limit: After taking possession of said animal by adoption, each such person shall have said animal spayed or neutered on or before the date so specified.

C.    Certificate Required: A certificate endorsed by a licensed doctor of veterinary medicine attesting to said spaying or neutering shall constitute prima facie evidence of compliance with said agreement and this section.
